Fiberglass Parts in Production

Sidewalk Fliers announced to customers a few months ago, "when we decided to re-enter the pedal airplane toy market, that we would improve the quality of our construction kits".  At last, the fiberglass parts are going into production to replace the older vacuum formed plastic parts.   You can check the parts list for fiberglass items and the new prices.

There are many advantages in converting from vacuum molded stryene to fiberglass.  The strength and damage restinance is much better.  The overall weight is about the same as plastic.  The cost while higher is worth the investment.  Finishing and Painting will take less time and materials and the surface finish is great.

Our fiberglass techno guy, "Toyota Gary" is shown here busy with the first three molds which fit the SkyRacer 1 & 2.  Others will be added as we run out of older plastic inventory  .
