C3GM is a small company located in Southern Oregon with its headquarters in
the City of Medford, the heart of the Rogue River Valley. The company started
in 2001 when Carl L. Myers and Dan Waggoner began the manufacture of wood toys
and model airplane accessories.
To make these products they selected the modern manufacturing method of CNC
router material cutting. The Computer Numerical Controlled equipment, operated
by the company, is capable of making large volumes of their proprietary designed
wood, plastic, and metal products. The CNC equipment is the cornerstone of
the manufacturing capability of the company.
In addition to the manufacturing capacity of the company, C3GM is also a major
mail order Distributor of hobby tools and equipment, that have been designed
for the Hobby and Crafts Industries by the staff of the company.
The first new products selected to be produced by C3GM in 2001 was a line
of Model Airplane flight line support items. A Field Box called the Big Chief
went into production and was an immediate sales success at trade shows and
direct mail. A second new item was designed for mail order sales; this was
the Folding Work Stand. It became the big seller for our small company and
has continued to be a high volume item to this day. Soon to follow was a large
group of support and accessory products.
In 2002 the product line of a major and long time American manufacturer of
tools, PanaVise Products of Reno, NV. was added to the Company mail order business.
This 50-year-old product line has an extensive line of Tools, CCTV Equipment,
Commutations Mounts, and General Electronics holding devises. This extensive
product line is over 200 part numbers in scope. And PanaVise is known for high
quality, and that matches our other product philosophies.
To this interesting mix was added a new type of product in 2003, Rubber Band
Toy Guns. Using the excellent CNC equipment C3GM designed and began producing
a complete line of the American made toys. The complete line of gun designs
range from Derringer pocket pistols to rifles and machine guns of all types
and even a ¾” size “Tommy Gun”. Over 40 different rubber band gun models
make up the selection at this time. Added to this large line of Rubberband
guns is a complete line of accessory targets and rubber band ammo.
In the spring of 2004 C3GM also added a new line of tools for the hobby builder
and crafts person called Handi-Hands. These clever work holding and placement
tools blend well with the PanaVise line and the Model Airplane products made
by the company. Manufactured in Maple Valley WA. The Handi-Hands product line
continues to grow and has become a solid seller in the C3GM mail order catalog.
The year 2004 also saw the addition of two other products to the manufactured
line of C3GM products. The first of these new items was the Model Railroad
Cradles that were a combination of CNC cut wood parts and selected PanaVIse
mounts to achieve a unique workstation for model railroad builders. Designed
in three sizes to fit model train sizes from the Mini-sized “Z” table top sizes,
thru the well known “HO” sized rolling stock, to the Major-sized “G” garden
layouts.
Next came the design and release of the Tru-Surface building boards. The building
boards are created for model airplane builders who want a flat and true building
surface to construct their models and be sure that they are easy to assemble
and fly. Available in sizes from 16” wide and 24” long to 48” wide and 120” long.
Built with specially selected materials to give the best surface for construction
using pins and fasteners and be re-usable for years and not show wear. Built
like a bridge the Tru-Surface Building Board is made adjustable so that a “flat” surface
can be obtained for years and model after model.
The last of the new product releases came in the spring of 2005 with the introduction
of a unique ride-on toy airplane for young pilots from the ages of 1 thru 4
years old. Called the Bi-Plane Rocker and sold under the Brand name of Sidewalk
Flyers, this ride-on is a kit of quality parts cut on the CNC router and combined
with selected hardware that when completer will give the builder a collectors
quality toy. Designed to last years and will survive ruff use. To top it off,
this neat little airplane design has the ability of removing the airplane partition
from the bottom rocker in a few minutes and converts the airplane into an independent “Scooter
Plane” for outdoor use. |
